WC is usually once a week, around 20%. Although if my schedule doesn't allow, it'll be 2 weeks once.

sorry to read your loss.
clown loaches are scale-less fish, very sensitive to medication.
i would not recommend melafix.

Clown loaches have scales, just very tiny ones.

Hi brother... sorry to hear your loss.

I used to have my CLs with discus and I added melafix into my 4ft tank. no problem adding as melafix are natural ingredients (herbs).

i suspect is when salt added in, these bottom dwellers will be curious and swim pass the bunch of salt (very concentrated when melting in the area). and run away after that. CLs could suffer shock from the salt and K-O after that.

happens to my Cories each time i throw salt into the tank, i'll see casualties after that.

I suggest dissolving the salt with your tank water before adding & spread it over the tank surface, alternatively you can add abit of salt at a time.
