boon

Its really sad to hear of this.
But my fears somewhat came about since I last spoke to you.
I totally agree in your method of filtration.
But the only one thing that absolutely always in need of monitoring is the PH.
Esp in your pond setting with so much variables, PH monitoring is essential.

As per title, procrasinating when i first noticed the fishes feeding poorly caused me the problems.
All seems well now with the addition of the coral chips and 2 rounds of cleaning, pond vacuuming etc. Added what are sensitive fishes such as pearlscale goldfishes etc and all surving well, but more importantly, all the monster fishes are now feeding very well. To give you an idea, 1.5 kg of prawns twice a day and you will not even see a shell after just 5 minutes!
Thanks for all the comments/suggestions.

Sorry to hear of your calamitous loss, boon. But also heartened to know that you're now better off for it.
