no lah sis, this is fresh water species. may be u r referring to other type.

if u ever stayed in kampong(but i doubt so ), where there r ppl having pond outside their house and u'll know the ghost shrimps just produce themselves without adding any salt or seawater. no one bother to do so.

the reason for ghost shrimp able to breed well in the pond is DIRTY, there r many food(bacteria) floating everywhere in the pond, so it becomes a food source for the shrimplet to "catch" and feed themselves while at their larva stage.

ancient chinese already pass down this knowledge about the nature : 水清常无鱼,地秽多生物。

i've one pond in my garden, it's super green! LOL no filter, if i just buy few packets of ghost shrimps throw in can breed like bunnies?

sudden change of water parameter will kill them if u just throw in like that, they'll die like bunnies.

pls do some research about shrimp beforehand.

i catch this type of shrimp in long kang b4! haha.. think should be easy to keep ba.. even long kang got! haha what can be worst condition then a long kang??
