also, is it necessary to cover the inlet pipe to the filter with fine nettings? this is to prevent the eggs fries from being sucked in. or dont need because? |

by the time the fries leave the caves, they can really suck....so, small net doesn't really require i guess..my 2 cents nia..
but i was advised to put up some wool or whatever from FBW getting into the filter.. |

Normally I will just wait for them to turn into fries and pour them out of the caves. Much easier to monitor the growth.
