Hello all!
Currently do you encounter any water parameter issue after using acrylic as tank base??? What I read as it not good to have dead spot below the acrylic base. Kindly share... |

Mine more than 6months. So far very satisfied. Water tip top condition. After u tried then u will realize acrylic is like a plastic with flat surface. When it come in touch with another flat surface (tank), both will stick together without gap in-between them. If there is no gap, how can dirt be trap rgt? Don't believe, if u r using glass top cover, try putting into tank bottom and taking out. U will have a hard time getting it out because the suction between 2 flat surface is so strong and tight. Lastly, if u talk about dead spot. All tanks do have dead spot/s which shouldn't be an issue if ur maintenance is done well.

Hey bro, can I ask whats the main purpose of cutting the base into 2 pieces? For easier transport? Can I just use one piece instead? Thanks in advance!

Some tank bottom has center brace. Some hobbyist cut smaller pc for portable and convenient sake. Mine 4ft tank is using whole pc acrylic. Measure correctly, it will sit nicely and flatly on the bottom.
