dun think dey will cross breed. i haf tried mxing white, zebra, red n orange tog b4. dey nvr cross breed.

hi! i came acros some miniature lobster recently, around 2 - 3 cm , very cute, anybody know the water parametrer. is it easy to rear coz quite cute thought of getting a few

they are rather easy to rear, but your filtration must be good. IMO they produce alot of waste, so your filter must be able to handle the load.

thanks alot, is itv suitable for planted tanks, and a little creature like that can produce a lot of waste really incredible

i am assuming tt the miniature lobsters are young lobsters. dun think dey can be in a planted tank coz 1stly dey will grow big. den lobsters are oso known to eat some plants n dey mite snip the plants as well. overall i think its more of a hassle to keep them in a planted tank la. juz a bare tank wif hiding places will do well

AGREE!! My previous 3-4 plants all spoilt... snip snip snip botak liao. Only plants i will consider is moss nia. Having them, and great hiding place for my baby lobsters.

Cross breeding is only possible within the same family, such as Cherax with Cherax, Procambarus with Procambarus. Red, White belongs to the Procambarus family (Procambarus clarkii for Red, assumed to be colour morph, thus same so for White). The rest are mostly Cherax species. Even so, cross breeding is not often observed, aside from Red and White, which are basically the same species and thus technically not cross breeding.

i have been told that they are not youg lobster, the maximum length is around 3 to 4 cm maximum ah. So really hope is suitable for planted tanks coz they are really cute

like the other bros here, i've had bad experience with lobsters in planted tanks. apart from them snipping plants and gnawing and chewing on them, like to burrow in the gravel and uproot your plants. it's at your own risk, but unadvisable
