ok.. from the responses i think the black marking will defer from fish to fish... maybe its just like some of us are fair while others are darker...(my own deduction)

They may not exactly be sphenozona.

This is my male Guianacara. Should be from the same import as those found in C328.

sis..
have u checked the water parameters?
pH & GH also impt leh.. some Wild ones might be more sensitive..so if condition not optimal..they might not show true colors.

anyway..
are they eating & swimming well?
any other unusual signs/symptoms?
their color fade off? or is it stress color? - any change of diet recently?

IMO.. nice intense color might not always mean it is in good health..

bro.. u go see the keyhole and bolivian ram..
when both of them are stressed.. their bodies all turn dark dark..

or perhaps ur RHT might be just relaxed and enjoying themselves in the new tank.

those captive bred very zai one.. as long as they are swimming and eating well..& water quality is maintained in tip top condition..then no worry so much abt skin color..

ya i noticed that for bolivian ram.. whole fish become blackish when i just transferred them to the new tank... after awhile back to their normal colour.. keyhole too small liao cannot realli see...

not worry abt their colour but more to curious as to why the black dots come n go... all of them are eating well and always chasing each other ard the tank..

planning to add in 2 plecos into the tank later when i do WC...
