Now I'm not too sure. Maybe just go get an ala-carte iPhone 6 without contract? Any advises? |

Singtel to deliver LTE speeds of up to 450 Mbps
POSTED: 03 Mar 2015 15:50 SINGAPORE: Local telco Singtel on Tuesday (Mar 3) announced that it will soon be able to deliver LTE speeds of up to 450 Mbps for its customers with Samsung Galaxy devices based on Ericsson’s LTE-Advanced technology. Singtel said the technology will deploy a tri-band Carrier Aggregation service (also called three-carrier LTE-Advanced) to boost mobile speeds. The technology combines bandwidth from three of Singtel’s spectrum bands to deliver higher performance mobile data services, which will allow consumers to have a faster web browsing experience, the telco said. According to SingTel, new Samsung handset models supporting tri-band Carrier Aggregation are expected to be available later this year, and subscribers with this new category of handsets will be able to enjoy download speeds beyond the current 300 Mbps. Said Singtel’s CEO of Consumer Singapore, Yuen Kuan Moon: “We were the first to introduce speeds of 300 Mbps last year which was very well received by customers. This has given us the confidence to further improve and invest in this technology.” “As consumers, businesses and industries are transformed through mobility, network performance becomes a key differentiator. Carrier aggregation is an important LTE-Advanced feature that increases throughput and higher peak speeds for users,” Country Manager of Ericsson Singapore and Brunei, Nicholas Seow said. Singtel said the service will be progressively deployed in Singapore over the next two years with trials beginning in the second half of 2015. - CNA/xk Is the current 4G LTE faster than the previous 3G? Now talk abt simi faster, dun later our bill go up faster. |
