Hi. VEry comforting to read all your posts. My RTG has stopped eating for a couple of days now. I hope that it will soon go back to normal. Worries me but after reading your posts, found some comfort.

bro, especially when the aro keeps making the motion with their mouths like they are swallowing something - it has got to do with maturity and once it dies off they'll start eating again

my 8-yr old goldie, "foon lok" goes on & off food at times, nothing for 1 month or so since it was some 3 years old.
Just maintain good water parameters, it is alright. Without any indication, it feeds again |

Thanks Streetsmart and Evilfry for your posts.
My aro- RTG is about 10-11 inches. Yes it does that chewing motion from time to time, as if being gagged by something in the mouth. Water change is once a week, about 20%. Recently added some rock salt about 0.1% ( 1 gram salt to 1 liter water). It eats, but not everyday, and not as "ethusiastically" as before. |
