You probably should just inform him and the rest is for him to decide himself...

Hey hiighpriestess. If you find the addition of saltwater difficult, I have almost a full box of marine sea salt (please do NOT use cooking sea salt/aquarium salt on them. I learnt the hard way, 100 over dead shrimp, before realising that sea salt is the correct one) that I'm not using as I now collect sea water for them and would be glad to pass to you for free.

My experience with this shrimp is that they cannot tolerate very acidic waters of around pH 6, and they definitely cannot take softwater, even 150ppm for them made some of them appear to stop eating. So please, even if you do not give them saltwater, do add aged water with coral chips to make sure hardwater.

And may I ask what are these blue shrimp mentioned? Can they be kept brackish too?

Hi silane,

there are two types of shrimps here in market, which many people
are confuse over.. One type is our regular type, needs aeration,
ammonia level, nitrite level etc...

Another type which is the eco type, do not need anything..
No air pump, no ammonia, nitrite level etc... The plants inside
will do all the work and just admire the shrimps inside.. These
shrimps are not as beautiful as the ones here, but still quite cute.

Once you bought it, just dont do anything to it, else they will
die.. It is inside container and that is it.. The water are quite
special treated water... not normal water..

Hope you understand better now.. didnt explain so much becos
was busy and could not type so detailed.. cheers..

Steve, do you know the EXACT shrimps being bottled in these eco thingy sold locally (Singapore), or particularly, by some shops?

Going into the EXACT shrimp will yield better insight of your knowledge where the rest of us will get to learn.

Do you also know why we are against eco-sphere? Do you know the exact eco-sphere being sold?
