Not for adults ofcoz, but it will be a prob for your shrimplets since u have berried mamas.

Thanks Yap, any suggestion how to cover the holes up? I afraid if stuck cotton in the pipes will block the intake

Ur welcome bro. Since hang on filter's inlets are quite small, im not sure if the stainless steel type we normally use for cannisters can be used. Else u might have to use sponge which needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid clogging.
Another option is to buy fine mesh and diy.
