From the baby photo, I would have guess as a female.....

This piece of showa has turn out very nice. I won't mind keeping a male showa like this as there are male koi who outgrow female koi in japan and you can't tell them apart in terms of size.

Do let me know if you are letting him out.

Bro Terence, although he is a boy, the sumi spreading evenly and judging from the photos the intensity of the colour is strong too. This is so nice. I like it!

very very nice, indeed. judging from the amount of the sumi at 32cm, i think the sumi will be even proportioned when it reaches 50+cm . thats why its looks so promising....

terence - you can always bring him out to hang out with my kois of the same size.
