Give the Dimilin some time to work, it should be 4 to 5 days before any real results can show. The pimple may not be due to worms or parasites though, hence if the pimple persists or grow worse, I would take a scrape and send it to the vet to take a closer look under microscope. If it is bacteria infection, the treatment would be an antibiotic, and I suppose the fish must be separated from the rays as it could be too strong.

But as with a lot of cases, it could begin with poor water conditions which can be remedied by doing more regular water changes, you could double up the water changes, ie do twice a week 20 to 30% rather than once.

I've kenna similar ailment, and I hit the tank with one after another medication. At the end, the bloody pimple (which became an encrusted red lump the size of half a 5 cent coin) was conquered. At the height it hit 5 of my prized aros. Now it's gone. I never knew what it was. And I don't give feeders to my aros too. And Dimilin didn't work for me.

Now about 4days after dosing demirin. Still there. I am thinking whether to introduce a second dose in a few days time. Not sure what are those things, no feeders, all on MP.

Will be making a WC one week after the initial dose.

Anyway, the demirin doesn't harm the rays, of course with the correct dosage. I giving 2cc to my 5x2.5x2 with a 3ft sump.

Dimilin is effective to "clear" anchorworms. I doubt it can cure those pimples.

From the look of those pimples, got small tail on the pimple itself, so might be AW. Shall wait for another few days to see if this is the correct treatment.

Anyway, all lifestocks in the tank are eating well and active.... hope those pimples are not deadly.

Sure, keep monitor the pimples. Cos I notice this pimples are rather sticky to the tails and fins.

Bro if you used dimini don let the filter run , it will lose it effectiveness, because your media will block the dimini powder .

Actually, after this brush with "disease", I found Dimilin is useful for all types of parasites but it needs time to work. It goes to the root of the problem. For my case, and perhaps it can also be some kind of case study, I believe, it was parasitic firstly. Then bacterial infection set in when the biting starts. That's why when I dosed Dimilin I could see some improvement, but not all the redness go away. And the remnants I believe has to do with secondary infection. Alas, I kiasu and hit the tank with everything I can find (I can't tell what I use, else some people may try it out on their fishes and they don't survive coz every medication has downsides and can compromise your tank if you are not careful).
Although I said Dimilin didn't help me, I was really referring to eliminating the redness and the swelling. I got so pis.....off until I just combined all the most potent medication I know to get the fish back to normal. My technique was to hit it big, then taper off after 4 to 5 days, and use marine salt plus epsom salt thereafter. Everyday, morning and night, I kept a tight vigil, monitoring the slightest change. It was a very tiring battle, but I finally got the damned disease whatever it was off my fishes without a single casualty in my tank.

Well done Mod. Now i saw improvement on the fish. The size if the pimples have reduced and less redness, about 5 days after dosing. Will be waiting for another 2 days to allow a full one week period for demirin to work on those parasite. After that, shall make a 30% WC and add in AC with epsom salt. Hopefully all these will kill those damn parasite.

Till now I have no idea how those parasite find their way into my tank. NO feeders at all. Only introduced a piece of DW tied with nana plant into the tank a week before this happened. Not sure if this is the cause.....
