PP or potassium permanganate is used by many hobbyists as a disinfectant agent, treating bacterial infection, etc.
It is sold as crystals (you need to dissolve it yourself before adding to water but be sure to know the correct dose) or is sold as liquid form (do read dosage carefully) at some lfs. It has a distinctive purplish colour tone.

Hope this helps.

U can get the crystal ones from Unity at $7.50/bottle and mix the solution yourself, but this bottle will last u for a very very long time.

Do be extra careful and around when using PP. It can kill your fish and help your fish to recover.

To be safe, use long PP bath for 3 days instead of 1 short PP bath. I hv never killed any fishes with long PP bath. But in case of accident if u drop the whole bottle into tank (it does happen), then standby a bottle of hydrogen peroxide(optional) (can also get from unity, approx $2+) for neutralizing PP or alternatively do an immediate large WC if u do not want to standby too many medi. Jus my suggestion.

Be extra careful when you have hydrogen peroxide and potassium permaganate stored together, ra combination of both can give you a nasty burn.

Don't have to use hydrogen peroxide as neutralizer for pp, just ad some anti chlorine into the tank.and it will be neutralized.
