actually Tan Cheng Bock last a long time, easily 20 years. IIRC, he first became an MP in 1980 or 1984.

Among his many debates were those in which he took EDB chief Philip Yeo to task for naming the scholarship bond-breakers and questioning the role of then SM LKY over his intervention in the SIA pilots dispute.

If there are just a few more like Dr Lily Neo...many Singaporeans will sleep better at nite....at least we are assured of genuine check and balances. The actual risk is with this great influx of immigrants....soon the "native Singaporeans"...the true sons and daughters of the Singapore soil will be marginalised to oblivion. We got to think and listen and weigh carefully....the birth rate has fallen incredibly low and it is still not reversing upwards.....so Singaporeans are not producing and if the new immigrants all producing above the native Singaporean rate of birth....soon all schools will have more students of the immigrants.


Just a footnote.....when the white man first step onto American soil....did the American Indians ever envisage that one day their lives will forever be on land that the American government allocated for them....they are no more free to roam and their home is what called "INDIAN RESERVATION".




Didn't we hear one of our Minister saying about Singaporean retiring to homes in JB....that is our Singaporean Reservation!!! Weigh your vote carefully!!

I honestly wish that MM when he first took the decision to handover the PM to GCT...he quietly fade away to enjoy and spend some quality family times with his wife and family...he deserve it and so does his family members. It is sad to see him so feeble yesterday and yet got to shoulder on for whatever reason/reasons. Everything is about sacrifice and when you have more of something....something else must give way.
