i guess one would learn more from practical experience by going thru the keeping/breeding process

Experience is best learnt through pain and mistake.

no pain no gain but how they mutate and transform cant be explain, more research need to be known of their nature, just like some PRL can have golden genes...... even if one devoted himself to research this his whole life, no guarantee of any results.....
