what the temp you set 24 ON 25 OFF maybe to close..can make it longer...if the is no condesation on your tank can put it at 23 ON and OFF at 25..if not 24 to 26 just fine...
Basically crs or other shrimp can live and breed at 26 but not more then 27...they willl slowly not eating and will turn milky and die... |

How does Gex chiller work? For Haliea chiller if the temperature is set at 24 deg it will kick in at 25 deg and chill until 24 deg before kick out.
Maybe you set at a difference of 0.5deg and hence the kick in and kick out timing is very short. |

Bro avex30, can ask how much it costs to run the chiller for both tanks per month? The kick-in/out temperature is controlled by the tank above or below? A bit confused, so don't mind my questions.

The external temp probe is on the above tank i've lower the above tank temp to 23'c so that i can achieve 24'c +/- at the lower tank. Kick in/out 30 min rest for 45 min to 1 hrs i using 1/4 Hp chiller alittle oversize should be able to get better result with pump upsize. Currently i'm running a ehiem compact 2000+ thru 2 pre-filter and 1 dummy canister. It greatly reduce the flowrate. So my guess is upsizing to a high flowrate should solve the problem. Anyway due to family commitment (year end) cannot anyhow spend. And due to the tight corner i've did my setup it make changes of equipment very tedious. So for the moment i will leave it as it is. Running cost slightly above your avg chiller cost like 40+ I estimate as i've another chiller setup running so both should be about 50+ a mth.

It kick in 30 min rest for 45 min to 1 hrs previous it was undersize using 1/10 hp which kicking last 1 hr. That is not very good that why now i m using 1/4 hp instead. Well regardless of what running 1 chiller for 1-45 is better than running 2 chillers. The bills for 2 chillers is confirm higher than it.
