It depend on the scape, I was trying to draw viewer attention to the tree. Thus, I believe putting colorful fish will overwhelm and distract viewer.

Nice scape indeed, a good choice of fish not to steal limelight.
If i have to "pick bones from the egg", i will include the following preferences in mind.


Personal preference on top of what you had:
Some brown and green algae stained rocks to look more natural,
Strings of plant hanging down from tree, may be the use of java moss.
And some moss attached to the wood so it looks like dragon scales twirling up the tree

Unfortunately algae unable to grow in my tank due to my secret technique .

Just kidding , it does have algae, green spot especially, but you cant see it on small pic.
