Some changes on my African Cichlids Tank



New member: Red frontosa



New member: Duboisi Cichlid x 2 (hopefully is male & female)




New member: Demasoni Cichlid x 2 (should be couple caught them hiding in cave together, refuse to leave the cave alone)

Default Tropheus Mixed Tank

Dear all, please advise me on this.

I intend to do a tropheus mixed species tank with duboisi, polli, moorii

What you guys think? and the tank size?

No issue at all if you mix tropheus, in fact with a larger overall group size, aggression will be reduced. It is really up to personal preference, some prefer more colour, some want uniformity.

The only thing you want to look out for is cross breeding which has been known to occur even between different tropheus types (e.g. duboisi and moorii etc.)

A minimum size of 4 foot is often recommended, but what matters more to the success colony from my experience is colony size, good quality food and regular water changes.

Just pack these 2 new cichlids for my mixed tank this week [img width=640 height=853]http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/30/cd262ebf819f23a7dc6386f162da7501.jpg[/img] got 3 if this, wanted to get 1 male and 2 female but found out to be 2 male and 1 female. Is this bumblebee?

Will try your advise still hunting rocks haha, can't bear my pocket pain to purchase from lfs

Yesterday just bought another 3 ft tank so I have change the concept again.malawi and Victoria comm tank
tangayaki comm tank tropehus main.
