Yup, you can use those wire mesh but shrimplets may still go through.

What I suggest is to use two layers of the mesh but you have to cut and position them on each other until the holes are really small. May effect the filtration flow depending how small the holes are.

Remeber to get a heavy duty cutter. The mesh are not those thin ones.

i think there is another small hole at the back nearer to the bottom of the tank.... how are you going to hold the wire mesh onto that surface?

i have an IQ5, and still cracking my head for this issue.

What I've tried is the put gap mat or sponge behind (where the medias compartment is)

Or stick a stem plant thru the hole which is wat I'm don't now. So far, my shrimplets are still in place.

Have just started a 2ft tank now in cycling stage.

will start off a journal to document everything.

Now thinking what name to use

I am considering to set up one too but worried about the coldness of the water.
Need some advice from experts...
