Found a dead superworm. So don't waste this good specimen for picture taking.

Tried this method on the pleco and seriously, moving object really hard to capture with free handling...

you can try getting the reverse ring mount at Sim Lim Sq, Orient Photo at 6th Floor. I saw some there sometime ago.
Using a reverse lens for macro can produce some fantastic results.
But one difficulty is setting the aperture, cos the digital lens we now own doesn't have aperture control.

That's the hard part. What I did is do a aperture setting fix then remove lens from camera and switch to reverse mode.

Nope. Build in flash only. Sometime for close up and you need flash, just rest a piece of white paper over the flash and it will bounce down nicely.

The side of our 50cent coin. Not properly focus though. But still able to see the texture and the surface of the coin clearly.

Another trial I practised on pleco in my tank. Not as good though for no tripod used. Free hand shooting for sometime the pleco will swim away from you.

The results are very good, exposure is good and it's very sharp.
I think this thread is very helpful for those who wants to try out macro.

I feel that this method work best with flash. The result is much better than no flash setting.
