DI water is Deionized Water and is free of impurities and dissolved solids but not from bacteria.
DI water is not intended for human consumption as there are no minerals and even though deionized water is at first neutral (ph 7.0) but a small amount of CO2 from the air will dissolve in it causing pH to drop to as low as 5.6 The purpose of using resins is to remove all ions from tap water resulting in Deionized Water. |

i have made a test but i didn,t read zero in my TDS meter. My specification for the resin as follows: Made purely with ion exchange resin. It removes calcium and magnesium ions from water exchange then for harmless sodium ion, effection for the protection of home appliances against a build up of calcium and magnesium deposits . Could it be different type of resin? |

Most likely a different type of resin or another possibility is that your TDS meter slightly out of calibration.

Hi all bros,
Any bros who r interested in getting a TDS meter, i can get for $45 per piece. (Standard TDS meter as using in normal chemistry labs to test the TDS in water industry, means it's industrial quality) Since am in KL, so i will post it to you guys, a postal charge of $5 will be add on. So, If you guys can gather and order in a bigger volumn, it will cut down the postal charge to one time charge only. I will post the photos asap. Sincere from, Rooo p/s: I was active in Planted Tank forum, but now into marine |
