Hi Plantergal,

For tosai, I will choose the less developed ones. But with sharp kiwa, big mouth and big head. As I like to grow them to jumbo. It will depends on your space to grow them.
Pattern is own preference.

Thank you again Scorpio, you've been very generous in sharing your tips!! Am quite excited about choosing a sanke actually. I used not to like Sankes, but I guess some kois can be an acquired taste How long have you been keeping kois? I got several over the weekend, but I don't know how to post picts here haha

No worries. I maybe not 100% right, but I share with you my thoughts
Yes, Sanke and Showa are the more challenging ones. You can see the changes in them as they grow.
Yes, all depends on individual preference. For me, I prefer Showa and Asagi.
