Typical result due to low lighting.
Not much that you can do but to increase the lighting and let the cam adjust the shutter speed and ISO automatically. Keep some distance.. say abt 10 inch gap between the fish & cam when you shoot. |

Hi, bro. I'm using a Canon EOS 500D. Am planning to get a macro lens for aquatic photography. However, I'm quite unsure about lenses in general, as I only dabble in photography when I travel. Any recommendations for a good and reasonable macro lenses and how much do they cost? Am looking at no more than $300 budget, if possible. However, I would be willing to spend a little more, if the results are worth it. Thanks for taking the time to read.

i actually dont really like its auto focusing as it changes the barrel length so i usually use manual focusing. as bro ami already mentioned, should invest in a good flash, esp one that can remote...really depends on what you are taking also la. flash gives the highlights and reflections on the eyes which i don't like. but for some fast subjects, no choice. |

Just to share about photoshop-ping photos. What U guys think of these photos before photoshop (photographer call it "post-processing")? These below photos are actual photo resized down to web size only. No other edit/ enhancement.
