Searched and found this old thread, because my aro is also in "S" shape from top view. I don't know what causes that. Morning still okay, evening after work, it has a bent body with a stiff neck. It started to eat these few days but still can't swim straight. Can anybody help?

Thanks bro. Is MGF a brand name? Do you have the chemical name or contents of the product so that I can buy at LFS because I am from Malaysia. Or do you have the manufacturer's name of this product?

Just wonder is this problem caused by bacteria? Somebody mentioned before that electricity shock could cause this also.

There are many possibility to this problem.

1) Stress
2) Water temperature
3) Water parameter
4) Bacteria infection on muscle
5) Etc

It all depends on the recent situation of your tank to know the cause.

So maybe you can briefly tell us what happen to your aro recently.

I have actually treated it with internal infection medicine from Interpret because I saw my aro was having an inflamed anus. And on the 3rd day after the treatment, this problem happpened. I have also elevated the temp to 31-32C during this period. I could see that the red anus has gone but replaced by the twisted body.

How long it takes to cure it? How the chance of an aro to recover?
