it's born with defect... however u can try to trim a little and with proper care, it might re-grow the gill back... but that's a very long period of time..

Trim? I don't know how... that's why I'm seeking help from those who know how.

Where the soft gill is suppose to be, there is a translucent (almost like transparent) soft grill covering about 25% over the exposed grill.


As the bio media is still very new, my NO3 reading is way above 20ppm. Just did a 20% change and would monitor the NO3 the next few days.

Hi.. to all...

My darling RTG is healing very well... the translucent grill has covered almost 50%!!!

It's not a defect... after all... hope it'll heal all the way!!!
