Need not have BH actually. Jap mat or Bioball ok also but cannot have trickling effect, rather more of splashing effect but can be noisy.

How u know its not very good? Unless its proven, else i dun think its that bad. Im using it for my 6ft tank and im using it with normal CRs and other medias...no problems.

oh...sorry if i sounded offensive bro.....sorry.

What I meant was we really cannot tell if its good or bad unless we do scientific studies on the individual types of medias....for example the diff types of BH...to determine if their performance surpasses the others...
