If you dislike LHL or have many grievances on how the garmen is being run on many things, likely is you may be bias against them even though some of the facts are there.
And why LHY and LWL now agree to settle the saga privately? More likely is they realise the damage being done to SG and we may well become a laughing stock. Think not so much as whether they are right or LHL is right. Question is: why in first place bring up the matter publicly? Quote:

LHL's reply to the "truce"
SINGAPORE — Responding to his siblings' latest joint statement, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Thursday evening (July 6) that he shared their wish
"not to carry on the dispute in public and to manage the disagreement in private". "That is exactly what I have been trying to do," he said. Noting that his siblings had repeated their previous allegations against him in their latest statement, he added: "I have already refuted these and stand by what I have said." PM Lee also revealed that their initial offer of a truce came with "improper and irresponsible" terms that he could not agree to. Mr Lee Hsien Yang and Dr Lee Wei Ling had wanted PM Lee to call off his Ministerial Statement and the debate in Parliament, disband the Ministerial Committee tasked to look into options for 38 Oxley Road, and not respond to their accusations. Earlier on Thursday, PM Lee’s siblings said — in making another ceasefire offer that came with certain conditions — that they had previously reached out to the Prime Minister, soon after they issued their first joint statement on June 14 which triggered the public spat over their family home. But their attempt at reconciliation was rebuffed, they said. They added that they will, for now, “cease presenting further evidence on social media”, provided that they and their father’s wishes are “not attacked or misrepresented”. They also said they welcomed PM Lee’s offer to manage their disagreement privately. In a separate statement, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean said he regarded the proclamation by Mr Lee Hsien Yang and Dr Lee Wei Ling that they welcome PM Lee's desire to settle the dispute in private as a positive development, "like most Singaporeans". "With this development, I hope that we can all work together and focus our energy on taking Singapore forward," he said. Mr Teo noted that PM Lee's siblings also repeated their allegations against the Ministerial Committee, public agencies and public officers, but the Government "has already responded comprehensively to all of them in Parliament". |

Both sides seems bend on insisting they are right.
Neither sides look like they would give way or compromise by the manner the offer and acceptance were drafted. So, until they finally decided to sit down and discuss (which I believe is gonna be a long way off), this saga ain't over. Cos in the "acceptance" of the offer, LHL still maintain his stand about the demolition and the will.....which contradicts the offer conditions stipulated by the siblings. So.....Part II continues........ |

The reason LHY and LWL exposed everything in public is likely because they had no other avenue left to follow through with the wishes of LKY to demolish the house
with the organs of state being used against them as they stated. When LKY was still alive, all 3 Lees controlled themselves. When he was gone, all hell broke loose. By keep on going on about the will, isn't it implying that LKY didn't know what he was signing. The reason given for not contesting the probate in court by LHL is flimsy. The proper way is for NHB and URA to consider conservation status like all other building of historical value in Singapore. But having conservation status doesnt mean it is open for public visit.
The house will be still privately owned and its just like any other house. That why u see in LKY will he also state that if the house is not being demolished due to government, he does not wish it being open to public. Meaning he hope gov dont acquire the house and convert it to be a museum. All these he know is within the power of the gov, the same law he created haunting him. |

I am not on the side of LHL nor LHY or LWL. Just feel it is folly to expose it for all to see. |
