Sad to say nice shrimp and planted tanks are mutually exclusive.

No electronic CO2 in all cases of shrimp tank. for CO2 planted tank, it is hard to strike a balance, many dont use Co2 inject into shrimp tank now. Last edited by silane; 15-08-2011 at 12:16 PM. |

Co2 and shrimp tank doesn't mix. It is very hard to strike a balance i've try it. If you use electronic control your ph swing if you leave it 24/7 your ph is going to drip to how much now sure i have a tank at ph 6.6 and injecting Co2 24/7 cause it to drip to 6.1 in 2 days i immediately stop using it.

Hi
Thanks for the tips bros.
I think so also. some of my crs shrimp and tiger shrimp died. The others seem fine for now. Must be a stability problem brought about from the PH swings. Now, I am thinking of running the CO2 for just 2 hrs daily just to supplement the plants but comes again the stability problem. Hope to stabilize before buying any new shrimp. cheers ben. |
