I know my recent 'loss' is nothing compared to the loss of the thread owner. Nonethessless, a shrimp life loss is a loss... I can totally appreciate the pain.

Unhappy Think I made the same mistake...

Oh on, I tink I may have committed the exact same mistake as the TS, i.e. introduction of new plant without quarantine. I just bought a small piece of driftwood with some plants attached (as well as 10 extra CRS). I did wash the plant as well as the piece of wood thoroughly. But after introducing it to my existing tank (2-day old tank, which contains 5 existing Sakuras), 2 of my Sakuras & 1 of my CRS begin to exhibit the twitching-then-drifting pattern!

Damn sad to cause the loss of lives due to ignorance...

Will soaking new plants or dw or rock in potassium permanganate help remove pesticide?

Also there are a "soap" available in market that's is use to rinse vegetable so that it is free from pesticide and safe for consumption. Will they help?
