Lepidiolamprologus nkambae or kendalli ?
Hi guys,
Anyone able to differentiate these two ? Bought them as Lepidio nkambae from 2 different sources. 1 source is direct from Africa, while the other is from Czech. This one is farm bred from Czech. These are WC direct from Africa. |

Markings wise, they actually look very similar.. I'm guessing the tank bred nkambaes markings will start to look like the wild ones once it gets larger? There is another kendali which has horizontal lines.

The fish from Czech is smaller compared to the WC, like half the size. The black marking is very much thinner also. Like what you've mentioned, maybe it's still young, & the markings may developed & changed further as it grows bigger. Do you have any reference to the difference in the 2 species ? like pattern wise for example ? Thanks |
