Actually not neccessary to be 6 hours. I'm just playing it safe. Actually recommended different is 4 hours before and after water changes.

I have one question here, how can one tell if aro is breathing heavily?

I can only say with your daily observation towards your fish. I'm sure you can tell a different when you spot one.

humm....... so there is no definite ways to tell if a aro is breathly heavily? Does aro always close their mouth or open and close at a regular pattern?

usually they dun breath that fast and open close their mouth that fast and big.

i m suprised u ask such question.bing a master urself. hehehehe lets c ppl will say maybe stress due to pH flux, temp, etc. also common remedy use Black water. blah blah.
I find ice works (binging the water down a bit)
