Im using this Dymax media too.......Some of the sticks will even float initially.

Agree, that block of wood is indeed spoiling the effect - how about using those branch-like driftwood? I rather like the effect they create. Otherwise, your setup is really good....can see it improving bit by bit from ur initial setup

I have no time to maintain my own setup of late and now left with only a couple clumps of nanas SA setup needs lotsa greenery and DW, plus not-too-bright lights to create the right ambience

got a bunch of spider moss from AF member last evening so tie them onto the big piece of DW. if only 1 stick can have so many hor

Yeah...sinked after a few days....very porous i would say. I ran tap water through it and water actually seives through. Not a bad product. Price is very good too.

yes, as long as it's doing it's required job at the end of the day, its a good product.

is it totally inert? has it altered any parameters such as gH or pH?
