The closest I got to finding the peltier was at level 3, Suntronics. The shape and colour look the same but the sink is for a different size use and it is more expensive. Other shops like Space Electronics, BellSystem, etc, did not get anything Would the brother, who got the peltier sink, care to tell us the unit no. he got it from? |

Cool down your tank by blowing the heat from your lamp away . Heat it up by blowing warmer room temperature to your tank. thats really crappy temp. you have to minimise heat in to your tank. I.e insulate your piping ,cold side of your chiller. how hot is your heatsink at the moment ? warm air is been blown out ? or just slightly cool air ? cheers xtrekker |

[QUOTE=Kohaku]I tried asking around all the shops in sim lim tower from level 3 to basement(B1-25) for the items and they only tell me they have normal black heatsink. In the end I got 2 fans and now looking for the heatsink to add to the fan

Perharps you can try your friendly car audio specialist or some 2nd hand audio shops should have some scrap Power Ampilifiers heatsink lying around.. |

[Blowing a fan when using a chiller is a double edge sword. It can help to cool down you tank or heat it up .
Cool down your tank by blowing the heat from your lamp away . Heat it up by blowing warmer room temperature to your tank.] --> I try to add a fan blowing the water surface, monitor the different, will update here the result. [thats really crappy temp. you have to minimise heat in to your tank. I.e insulate your piping ,cold side of your chiller.] --> I have insulated 3 sides of my tank and canister filter body with aircond heat insulator sheet, then the piping also insulated with aircond pipe insulator. [how hot is your heatsink at the moment ? warm air is been blown out ? or just slightly cool air ?] --> didnt scan the heat side temp, but can feel better than last time as now i'm using full copper 67 fins heat sink, http://www.thermaltake.com/product/c...1/cl-p0001.asp can feel the cold side cooler than before, but still cant get the temp down to 24C, a sad thing |

you mean the cold plate feels is cooler in the tank ? if thats the case maybe your water circulation is not good enuff to transfer the heat from your tank to your cold plate. cheers xtrekker |
