Please monitor a bit longer. Give it a chance. Not easy for bros here to comment or judge by looking at few pictures shared by you. Do decide whether you think it is worth while to groom it further or not after next few weeks of observation. Personally I think do not stress yourself further now by wondering whether is it a pure BD. Best if you can give it TLC like before. Cheers !!!

I've bought, rare and witness ray pups that look exactly like BD when young but turn out to be otherwise.

Some cross breed even look better than many BDs around. Again its your feel whether you like to keep them or not.

There are Thousland island black rays around that give superb pups, but there again whether their gene are pure or not is another question.

Hence, i suggest you play with your own feel rather than what others comment.

Unless of course you wanna go into breeding programme than it might be good that you mix what your are sure of to get its correct output.

You may argue, challenge , debate until "the cow comes home" and yet do not get a right answer...just like the arowana world "what is XBs, etc"

Just my personal humble opinion only hor.

Happy Ray Keeping always...

Simon
