I think they are shocked by the ph or temperature of the water. Unwilling to be in new condition water.

Hi bros
Got some enquiries.. 1) I age my water in a big pail. But it is still water, i.e. no air pump Is this ok? The water is there between 1-3 days until it has all been used up. 2) Guppies do not require any air pumps or filter, just a bare tank will do right? 3) If i use a cannister filter, how often should wc be? thanks in advance. Hope lots of experts can give their advice. cheers, |

Female has a tendency to swim or dashing up and down the wall of the tank when she is transfered to a different environment and worse when she is alone. It takes her a few days to settle down.
When fish tank is placed on a multi-tier rack, the center of gravity of the rack goes higher. The higher the tank is placed, the more shock the fish will feel when shock wave transmitted from the ground unless the rack is made of heavy duty iron or thick solid wood. |

Hi, my answers in blue..
Got some enquiries.. 1) I age my water in a big pail. But it is still water, i.e. no air pump Is this ok? The water is there between 1-3 days until it has all been used up. heard from my friend that even aged water need to put in air pump, if not it will become dead water and not very good for fishes. putting in air pump is good also it prevents mosqitoe to breed.. have not used aged water since day 1 of my fish keeping journey.. 2) Guppies do not require any air pumps or filter, just a bare tank will do right? can keep guppies without filters or air pump but will need more frequent water change.. 3) If i use a cannister filter, how often should wc be? this depends on how big is your tank cand canister... |
