I just did a water change 4-5 hours back but one of my aros is breathing rather heavily and fast after that. It's been over 4 hours now and it's still breathing rather fast and heavily.

20% of the tank's water is changed and top back up as usual with tap water and anti-chlorine. the rest of my other tanks are not affected only this SR.

Can anyone tell me what went wrong?
Normally, I put some Tetra Stress Conditioner, one tablespoon for my 180 gallon tank. Also, I added the blackwater, and salt. Water temperature is another important factor. The new water temperature should be almost the same like the water in the aquarium. I do wc every 3 day, and my fish breath normal after half hour with the above treatment. Try it to see if it works for you. Cheers.

I dun add salt every water change. I;ll add once every 2 change for it's water you removing each time and not much salt are remove. if keep adding salt, the concentration of salt in there will only increase and not balance.

As for blackwater, no point keep adding for although the blackwater blackish look effect is absorbed by the filter, the effect of the ph is still there. Thus keeping adding every water change is not a need unless there's a increase of PH level in there.
