As for the Fish ... I noticed that those fishes that are not overly pump up then to show better colour development, then the one belong to my friend one which was pumped to the max now at 14"

I bought mine roughly at the same time as your then 9 comm.
thanks for the lobang!

Ya, from my own observation raising a batch of 7 reds, interesting to learn that smallest one got best colour, biggest one got best shape! Thats why i dun advocate pumping for fast growth...altho many would disagree w me...

yr VF now wat size?? Weehiong also abt same time & his very fat & big liaoz...

some dun mind the small diff though...if there are not much customers they really are great hosts

back to the fishes, its likened to one of the siggy I saw in Joeshh's signature -"why some of the best reds are long?"

Pump is the reversal of stunt...keeping the right balance between feeding "slightly" under and "slightly" over is hard...most of the red keepers gets their fair share of choosy reds sometimes when they are mid size...when small their appetite very gd, grow big suddenly jialat

some small reds eat too much, cannot digest...kena bad weather, all the silly sickness come liao...esp dropsy is quite common in small reds...did u notice?
I notice the dropsy part before but it was gone before I can medicate that fella. Thats is why I always try to feed 70%+-. It is hard to adjust the feeding portion. When some members post their Red ...some overly fed, overly round.. I always have a question in mind.... does obese equate to beauty... Does a judge accredit high marks for obese fishes.....

tats becos ur reds all from young are picked as those with strong broad structures...u simply feed normally their broadness will be shown...u pump alot they will end up like ur TY

similar to Koi concept, shoulders = broad

its as simple as tat...ur robin I pump 80% tats y its color are not sipping through yet...but never mind...I switch tanning dietary liao...soon should show
