Hehe, ee supposed to be humble fishes, they eat earth, that's why called earth eaters, but Heckelli is actually not an earth eater strictly by definition.....so maybe it hao lian sometimes,

Joke ah, no offence to anyone, I actually love my Heckillis a lot, maybe not everyone would like him as he's a short bodied one, but I really liked that fish...unfortunately, it's no longer with me.

Wow! They sure go well with dark substrates.

yup...i find that a dark substrate brings out the intensity of the EEs too...used to have a bare tank...not that impressive as one with dark coloured gravel.

Anyway, I find that EEs are messy eaters...they will chew pellets and small bits and pieces will come out thru the gills...

ya lor. his filteration for his EE tank is super overkill. my 4x2x2 only running on single layer OHF and still thinking hard whether to add on another cannister or not

Add bro....u wont regret it....just pack cannister with medias..no wool or sponge....in this way, nothing gets trapped. Pure biological filtration..best....how bout some overall updated pics of ur EE tank?
