Default Can this take good picture?

Tried using my canon powershot A80 digital camera to take pic of my betta in the tank but was never able to take clear pic of it or even the original color of my betta.. Is this camera good enough? Or i need something better or how should i use my camera?

Can any bro's help me.. Thanks.

Its a canon right?
there should be a button with a little flower on it, thats the "macro" function.
It focuses on smaller details. i always use it when i take picts of my fish, makes the picts super clear =)

anyway, it also depends on whether your fishes want to cooperate. you can be a very good photographer but if they don't want to be nice then too bad.

Depends on the species and size u intend to shoot. Like for those very active species, you might need to use high shutter and iso.Anyway A80 is a good camera,you just need to know ur camera well before u choose the species to shoot. Good luck bro !

try setting the iso n shutter speed to a higher value
then if can try to increase the lighting of the tank
with lots n lots of lighting, even the most basic camera can snap nice pic
