Planting For bigger plants, hold on to the leaves and bury it gently into the soil with the Pinsette. When necessary, cut away extra or big leaves which obstruct planting.

Planting completed. We are ready to add water! Now all you need to do next is to fill up water slowly, start up the filter, connect the co2 system and set the lights to come on for 6-8 hours a day. We will cover the maintenance tips in another articles. Water Conditioners Our tap water contains chlorine, so be sure to use anti-chlorine to minimize rotting of plants. Filter Place outlet in such a way so that flow can push water throughout the length of the tank. It is good to have the co2 diffuser near the outlet, where it can be dissipated faster. Note that most plants actually would love some flow. Maintenance of Plants After the first 2 weeks, you should notice that some plants have taken roots and started spreading or growing. It would be a good time to start trimming some of these "runner/foreground" plants so that they can spread faster. You are also ready to do a minor water change and add some fertilizers. You will need generally 2-3 types of fertilizers for growth of plants: 1) MACRO NUTRIENTS (NPK) : For growth and development 2) MICRO AND TRACE : Enable plants to better utilize (1) sometimes with extra boost of potassium 3) SUPPLEMENTARY : Iron based fertilizers, Grow enhancers
