Hi all,

thanks for all the kind comments! Can't make a DIY chiller dude...probably you can cool your water in the fridge??...heh. Just a thought...

Anyways, the details are that the pipe diameter is 40mm. the connector pipe diameter is15mm i think. and all parts are bought at the hardware store. scrub the pipes 1st before using and use acetone to remove organic grease or stuff like that.

Use a pipe cutter to cut the pipes to the correct length too and not a saw. If you use a saw, use a fine tooth type and buff the edges. I just cut them. much cleaner and faster too!...

Cheers!

hey there,

what's up with the anger man...that is just a normal air driven protein skimmer. what you showed us all is...if i am not wrong, a venturi or counter current skimmer for a large tank. i made my for my 1 ft tank dude.

Cheers and chill out!

i see, i think using a small fridge as an engine might be a good idea...but if the cost goes up, then might as well opt for a chiller yea?...

in fact, i saw some sites on the net that have DIY skimmers as well as circuit for self made PCB torsional wave maker/creator. some guys in the U.S. have real good hands at DIY.
