900801's marine journey
First time trying marinefish and have been cycling my tank for more than a month and a 1/2 Checked the nitrite, ammonia and nitrate. Finally about a week ago the nitrite went down to 0. The ammonium went down two weeks back. Got some chaeto from a reefer 3 days back. It'll be a fowlr.
This is the set up now. Did some rescape. Added some fire red shrimps here on sat and they seem to be doing great. No aggression as of yet. Planing to add some flame Angels here. This is the slump tank.Got some chaeto from a reefer 3 days back. Got a nemo yesterday Will update the current look of the tank soon after I've gotten the angelfish. |

Thanks boss Johannes, I'm just a humble plankton trying my hands on marine. Here's the pic of a blackie I got. Cute little fellows. Greedy too
Thanks bro evolutionz and jabby. Hopefully it'll be a great start. Found this, this morning hopefully it's a sign that they are thriving and not the sign that they are stress 😖 Got my 2nd last addition for the tank. The last will be either a pair of mandrine or a pair of goby in the slump tank. Waiting for the copepod to start thriving in the slump tank before adding them. Went a bit late so salvage what I could find but they look great nevertheless. No aggression as of yet hopefully it stays that way. Didt quarantine them so fingers cross. Foolhardy but hopefully nothing goes wrong. Otw back got some salt from madpetz so I can do some wc. I'm going to use tap water for the mix but since it's going to be a fowlr it'll be much forgiving. |

Do you have a chiller?
Flame angle does not live long in tank without cold temp. Different species of clown fish esp percula clown fish added to same tank are not adviseable cos they are territory . |

Hi bro. Do you water change from tap water (anti-chlorine) or use RO water?

@H2+O: thanks for the heads up bro. Had a chiller and it was running at 27 degrees but it died on me. Maybe it's too old already. Anyway the tank they are in is hovering between 28-29 without fan. Will be adding some fan to bring it down or might get another chiller. Yup the clownfishes are in a partition tank of their own.
@zacquire: it's aged Dechlorinated tap water |

If you are using fan as cooling source, there a need to top up water now & then. Ideal temp is ard 23-26 degree.
The best water change is to purchase sea-water from the marine shop that sells u the fish. Check the KH instead of the PH. A Good KH reading stabilize the water condtion. |
