Salifert KH/ALK Test Kit
Due to busy schedules, ran out of the regents for the alkanity test kit from Aquarium Systems and went to purchase the kit for $20 from PetMart yesterday.
The only complaint I am having is the conclusion of the test results in doing some calculation from the formula which is quite confusing for reefers who are so so in maths. There are two methods of testing ie the normal test with 4 mL of the test water or low resolution using 2 mL of tank water. Used the low resolution to stetch the dollar for more tests and below reading was obtained: Reading from the 1mL springe = 0.75 kH in dkH = ( 1 - 0.75 ) x 16 = 4 Multiply the result by 2 (using low resolution) = 4 x 2 = 8 kH Found that Salifert is easy to use and must comment that it is value for money. Overall .. it is value for money. |
