Putting down to sleep

Hi,

Need some advise or opinion from pets lover.

My female cat called "baby" with us for many yrs.
Tumors was found on the underneath near stomach area last yr.
Went operation to remove it but less than 3 mths, new tumors appeared.
Went for removal again.
Less than 2 mths, new tumors appear on the stomach and worse still, one tumor appear inside the mouth (somewhere near where the food will go down)
I can sense she is suffering a lot of pain (Understand cat can hide their pain very well)

Initially, it still can eat and drink on its own.
Later stage she will eat wet food.
Then only will eat when hand fed. Water too.
Now totally stop eating and drinking.
Need force feeding now.

Although she still can move around, I thinking of putting her to sleep.
Have lots of fights with my wife over this.
She against putting her to sleep.

Any advise or opinion?

Honest, putting the poor kitty down could be a blessing to it.

Sad to hear that. Is pain to put to sleep, specially for a lady as got some attachment to it. Very hard to decide. Dun quarrel over it.

How old is it? If more than 12yrs, is consider old and best to shorten its sufferings. If it still looks healthy, can eat, walk or normal activities, try keep 1-2yrs then decide again. Let ur wife see how much this cat is suffering and ask her if she bares to see it suffers.

My opinions is to put it to sleep as its best way. Final decision is yours.

But she still conscious around her surrounding area.

Bought her when baby just few mths old.
She should be at least 8 to 9 yrs old today.

Yes...baby very close to my wife.
Both of them share the same pillow sleeping.

I believe baby will break down in a week or 2.
She is not eating leow, how much can I force feed her?

Bro, we also have a kitty, Theo in Australia.

Theo was a little kitten abandoned, abused & traumatised by its previous caretaker.

The shelter found Theo in some dump. That was more than 13 years ago.

Now, theo is getting on with age. We can see it coming. Yes, the feeling sucks but seeing the poor kitty "wasting" off slowly is painful.

Bro, really sad to hear this... I will try to understand your wife feeling... if she is unwilling to let Baby leave like that, u dont force her... let her accompany Baby for her last few weeks, though it could be a painful one... if u force her to let Baby sleep, she might not understand you and might even blame you for the rest of your life....

honestly speaking i'm very sad when my hamster rip.
I think if it stop eating better to put to sleep... if not will be harder to see her condition worsen day by day...

Feel your pain now my fish like cardinal also ko 1 by 1 due to old age everyday take dead body( have around 30+ pieces from 100) with me for so many years. Go work also no mood.
