1/4 of ur tank volume is too much. without anti-cholorine is a big risk as shrimp is very sensitive.
I do every week once only 10-20% |

Most hobbyist will just do 5%-10% of water change weekly
too much water change will cause change in water parameter dramatically. And in turn the shrimps will suffer. We also age the water at least 1 week with anti chlorine like mosura shizen. |

i do 10 % wc every 2-3 days . but i top up by a drip method for two hours to prevent too much changes in water parameters . and i add anti-chlorine

yes pls use anti-chlorine. i think u can change every 3-4 days with 5-10% water change since ur tank bioload is high.
for me i change every 2 weeks 5-10% is enough. i top up water about 5-10% once every week as i am using fan. so far so good. |

What shrimp are you keeping? If you need acidic water, the way you water change your parameters will soon be like the parameters of the tap water. Between 7 to as high as 8.4.
The other thing is chlorine kills shrimp. They are quite sensitive to it. The combination of these two are enough to reduce your shrimp population. |

It could be that (if your keeping crs) they aren´t accustom to singapore´s room temperature. The reason why you dont seem them could either be that they are hiding or your other inhabitants might have eaten the dead shrimps
