A friend gave him to me. Was aware of the tail rot condition. Its recovering under my care. Its recovering slowly. The white ranchu had recovered fully. This guy a bit slower .

Did you use any medication to treat the fin rot? Good water parameter with high protein food will help in the recovery assuming the fin rot bacteria has been taken care of.

I think the tail shoulder bone and the tail core also rotted away and as such the recovery will only be the finnage coming back to the receded shoulder bone and tail core.....what we are seeing the fish as now ...maybe just a slight improvement in finnage and thats it.

Bro...kudo to you for keeping the fish alive and still loving it....many hobbyists would just throw it away and that is cruel.
