Bro Jason can you check with them what brand of the FBW that they are using? I'm using Hikari FBW and rinse it with water before feed, so far never encounter this problem.

Hi Jason,

Bloodworms or Chironomus Larvae come from a less noxious environment than Tubifex, so there are not much danger feeding them to our fishes. However, frozen bloodworms were preserved with very small amount of Formalin to prolong it's fressness. Recently, I've experienced some FBW giving out a strong chemical smell, but my fishes seem to be ok after taking them. It could be some quality control issue since there isn't much quality control for fish food and it might cause serious problem for smaller of lower resistance fishes.

Regards
