>2feet simple planted tank

Hi,

i want to share a picture of my <2feet simple planted setup.




Actual tank dimensions: 550mm(l) x 220mm(d) x 280mm (h)
(custom made 8mm thick acrylic)
Filtration: eheim 2213 (media reused from old setup)
CO2: currently at about 1ppm (estimation, after my bubble counter exploded in my face ops
Lighting: 2 x 24W T5
Substrate: ADA amazonia - (ADA Power sand with ADA bacter below)

flora:
1.Glossostigma elantinoides (foreground)
2.Java Fern (background)
3.Anubias nana petite
4.Blyxa Japonica <<< im not too sure, please correct me if im wrong!
5.Taiwan moss on driftwood

fauna:
5 cardinal tetras
2 corydoras habrosus
(remnants from the previous setup)



Some questions i have , hope the experts here can help me.
1. Is my lighting sufficient? i'm especially concern about the glosso growth
(it seems they are growing vertically instead of horizontally :shock
my previous lighting was a 55W PL
my current lighting is 2 x 24W T5
which one is better for growing the glosso. or do i need to get another light set? :shock:

2. Does the Co2 rate need to be higher?
3. Do i need to dose seachem flourish potassium and excel (i have both just in case)

nice scape! now is waiting time for the Glossostigma elantinoides to cover the foreground. i feel if u use narrow-leaf java fern will be nicer, will be more proportionate to your tank size..

Simple but nice scape.. When you carpet goes it'll look great add a few more neon tetras?

Your glosso indeed isn't going to grow flat. Pump in more Co2 and what's ur lighting hours? There's no japonica inside. Should be crypto parva or sagittaria

Your lily pipe outlet looks somewhat large for the tank size. Do consider changing to the mini ones. I like your scape. Simple and nice. Looks like sagittaria to me too. Have a bunch of them somewhere in my new scape as well.

Maybe you can post up some close-up shots of the plants as well, for a more accurate ID.

spot on bro, thats how i feel after i finish planting.
the first batch of java fern isnt too healthy. threw away 1 group and trimmed the other, added shorter narrow leaf java fern just in front.

after changing the lighting and increasing the dosage of CO2, notice there are more glossos sprouting!

actually until now im stil not too sure, even after some reading. but e.tenellus seems the closest to me.

the latest update, i changed the driftwood, and rearranged some of the plants.

although enthusiasm is essential, it's never good to rush
