Mod, any chance to sticky this info too?
"We are concerned with 2 things in tap water. Chlorine and chloramine. As we know, chlorine can be removed by aging and aeration or adding anti-chlorine which removes it instantly. We need to be aware and understand that anti-chlorine products vary differently. It is noticeable that the technology improves over time with point 3. being the latest technology. 1. Some only remove chlorine. 2. Some remove both clorine and chloramine only. For chlorine removal, there is no byproducts but as chloramine is chemically stable, unbreaking the bonds would release ammonia. An example of this product is Fritz Guard. This must be used with Fritz Ammonia Remover to neutralize toxic ammonia prior to the introduction of aquatic life. Therefore, 2 products are now required to keep the water safe. 3. There are few 3-in-1s. A few products can remove both chlorine and chloramine and detoxify the ammonia. Seachem Prime is an example." ------------- Hydher, for api stresscoat. According to the directions To remove chlorine and neutralize chloramine 5ml per 38L. which is =~ 2.63ml per 20L. to help repair damaged skin and fins and replace slime coating 10ml per 38L which is =~5.26ml per 20L C328 price $13.00 for 473ml bottle. |

20 L = 1 conventional red pail
I could not fill the conventional red pail with 8 pet bottles of 1.5 litre each. So I guess the pail can only take about 12 litres to the brim at most . |

fyi, many are overdosing on prime(a conditioner brand) on aro tanks. From my exp, bros who drop prime on e fins of long tailed fighting fishes, notices a hole in the tail. Last edited by Hydher; 29-03-2009 at 02:17 AM. |
